With clean, harmonious lines, designer Edoardo Pitton has infused this rotating tray with a contemporary soul while staying true to its history.

Attention to detail, high-quality materials, and the mastery of Italian craftsmanship every element has been carefully designed to ensure impeccable aesthetics and optimal functionality.

With SUSANNA PIGRA, WWD DESIGN is not just launching a new product; it is offering an experience, a journey through cultures, rediscovering the joy of togetherness.

THE DESIGNER

Edoardo Pitton

Designer born in 1976, he graduated from the European Institute of Design in Turin in 1998 in Transportation Design. He works on the design of cars (Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Estrima Birò), motorcycles (Aprilia, Fantic, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio) and industrial design objects of all kinds:
from tractors to sailboats, from almost artisanal pianos to microchip programmers, from industrial cleaning machines to furnishing accessories. He believes in the contamination of ideas and technologies given by the variety of projects to which he approaches in a way that is always curious and inclined to change the paradigm, always giving priority to the functionality and ergonomics of the object to be designed.

THE CONCEPT

"3 wheels for perfect balance"

SUSANNA PIGRA was born from the desire to reinterpret a familiar object, giving a distinctive new shape to a very common accessory: the lazy susan. Traditionally, this item consists of a rotating disk mounted on a central bearing that enables its movement.

To achieve this reinterpretation, the imprinting of a Transportation Designer inspired the replacement of the classic central pivot with three wheels, elements commonly found in most of its inventor’s projects.

Susanna Pigra is not just a rotating tray: it is the meeting between the practicality of an object born for sharing and the essence of Italian design.

The fluid and silent rotation invites conviviality, with the wheels becoming a characterising element of an unmistakable style.
